Winner of the 2014 SHITFA (Supreme Honorary Improvised Theater & Film Award) for Outstanding Genre Performance (THE SCARY, Improvised Stephen King), IRTE (the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble) kicks off their fourth season with Wow Wee! Adventures of a Little Girl Robot. A spoof of 80s sitcoms, particularly Small Wonder, IRTE asks you decide as they improvise your answers. Can an adorable mechanical moppet fit in with the Trumans, a normal, wholesome, suburban family? Or will she be dismantled in a lab? You decide! Follow the HILARIOUS adventures of Andie the Android in this classic (and completely improvised) 80s sitcom!

Evie Aronson earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University. She has appeared in projects for TruTV, HBO Films,and also on USA Network(w/Gilbert Gottfried). Winner of the “Save World Sanity” Award from Comedy Central. Finalist in BudLight “Ladies of Laughter” and La Mega 97.9FM Radio stand up comedy competitions. Robert Baumgardner received a BFA with honors in Acting and Directing at UNC-G. Since then he has worked as an actor in regional and Off-Broadway theatre including the McCarter Theatre, Indiana Rep, and Pan Asian Rep. He has worked as both an actor and director in the New York downtown theatre scene. He directed the one man show “Japarica” about a Japanese immigrant coming to America, and improvisational comedies for IRTE including “Time Jump”, “Space Probe”, and “The League of Extraordinary Blondes”. He is a founding member of IRTE, a main company member of Gotham City Improv, and a lifetime member of the Actors Studio where he has had the privilege to work with the likes of Arthur Penn, Estelle Parsons, and Al Pacino.
William Berg studied acting at Stella Adler studio while at NYU; improv with Gary Austin, Scotty Watson, Jeff Michalski, Mik Kuhlman; and Commedia dell’Arte with Cirque du Soleil performer Daniel Passer. He was in the comedy group that went on to become The State on MTV; landed 1st movie role, “White Fury”, while studying at CU, Boulder (alongside Trey Parker and Matt Stone); invited to audition for Cirque du Soleil while performing for a year in Guam in a show called ‘Dream’ as the comic-villain character; called back for clown character in Le Reve in Las Vegas; and danced the 5 Rhythms with the legendary Gabrielle Roth. Bill recently completed a 10-month run at the Heath as part of ‘Sleep No More’.
Nannette Deasy is originally from Chatham Township, New Jersey. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in English, she began performing professionally. A member of Actors Equity Association, she has performed at theatres including the Public Theatre, LaMama Etc., Ensemble Studio Theatre, and New York Theatre Workshop and in various films. Nannette is also a comedy improviser and sketch writer. She has been a cast member of numerous comedy groups and theatres, including Gotham City Improv and was the former Artistic Director of The Red Tie Mafia, a 40+ member company that performed twice weekly in Manhattan. She is currently the Artistic Director of IRTE, the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble (official selection Portland Improv Fest, New Orleans Comedy Arts Fest, Unscripted New York 2013 & 2014, Del Close Marathons 15 & 16, Tampa Improv Festival, NYC Improv Festival 2014, Boston Comedy Arts Festival 2014 and Philadelphia Improv Festival 2014). She also performs with the comedy groups Triple D, Double D and Templeton & Deasy. Nannette also teaches improvisational acting at Gotham City Improv, the IN Studios Conservatory, and privately.
Sam Katz is thrilled to be performing after a three-decade hiatus. She studies acting with John Howard Swain and improvisational theatre with Scotty Watson and David Marx of Artistic New Directions. She recently performed in showcases directed by improvisational theatre mastersMichael Gellman, Gary Austin, David Razowsky, and Scotty Watson, and has taken workshops with Kevin Frank, Rachel Hamilton, Wenndy MacKenzie, Carol Fox Prescott, Page Clements and others. She’s been a guest improviser with IRTE and Gotham City Improv, and recently starred in two New School student films. With a diverse background in radio, film, public relations and promotion, Katz has spent the past 17 years as the writer, editor, and executive assistant to the president of the Detectives’ Endowment Association, the labor union of 17,000 active and retired NYPD Detectives, which she considers a front row seat to the Greatest Show on Earth.
Marcia Sofley has professional experience in theatre, film and improv. She was the recepient of the AJ Fletcher Performing Arts Scholarship to UNC-Greensboro where she received her BFA in acting. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity and had appeared across the country in various regional theatres and national tours, including performing with Georgia Engel in Nunsensations and understudying (with performance) Erin Moran in the national tour of They’re Playing our Song. She has also appeared on numerous shows on ID Discovery and the History Channel. She has over a decade of improv experience in NYC and is thrilled to combine her love of theatre and improv with IRTE!
Brian Michael Actor and Comedian Brian Michael can be seen in such films as Tracers (2015), Top Five (2014) and TV shows including HBO’s Girls (Season 4) and Law & Order: SVU. His break came in 2012 when he booked a lead in a Toyota Commercial opposite Eli Manning, which aired during the NFL kickoff game. He has performed sketch and improv with some of the city’s funniest troupes including IRTE, the Loco Motives & Improvisation News. Unleashing his brand of off-the-wall, energetic humor, he has appeared in shows at UCB East, The P.I.T. & The Broadway Comedy Club. As a member of the Gotham City Improv Main Company, he performs at the Celebration of Whimsy and performs stand up regularly at Jared Wilder’s Laugh & A Draft show. www.thebrianmichael.com
